The world’s cutest microcar has finally entered production and will begin delivery soon. Microlino has opened a configurator for its electric micro car on its website for 30,000 reservations.
Inspired by the lovely 1950s BMW Isetta, this small, eye-catching electric city car is unlike anything else on the market. First in its class, the Microlino features a self-supporting unibody that improves safety and driving behavior compared to the tubular frame of other vehicles in its class.
The two-seater Microlino is just 8 feet (2.4 meters) long, and both driver and passenger can get in and out of its single front door. It can reach a top speed of around 56mph (90 km/h) and has a battery that can be charged in just 4 hours from any household power outlet or in just 1 hour at a designated charging station for electric cars. As for range, you can go up to 142 miles (230 km) on one charge, depending on the battery you choose. Best of all, thanks to the front-opening door, you can park your vehicle perpendicular to the road and step directly onto the pavement.
