About three years ago, Italy’s Automobili Amos S.r.l. restored the Lancia Delta with a completely modern perspective, calling it “Futurista”. Now we have Automobili Amos‘s latest modernized approach to Delta. This time they offer a field-ready restomod called “Safarista”.
Safarista is full of specs
This completely overhauled vehicle was a Delta Integrale 16V model before it underwent a reinforced chassis and a host of modifications and upgrades both inside and out. Sitting on a set of custom aero-disc-equipped wheels, the exterior of the Delta Integrale is a completely revised exhaust setup, with a custom wide body kit that includes new widened fenders, custom bumpers front and rear, lowered front and rear shields, a central visor, and a completely revised exhaust setup. Equipped with a new sidepod layout, integrated front auxiliary lighting, and a perforated skid plate. It is unclear whether the Safarista will have a body made of carbon fiber, as in the Futurista.
Now featuring a two-seater layout, the interior of the Lancia features a full roll cage, racing button box, motorsport pedal set, AiM-style digital racing display, quick-release flat-bottom steering wheel, a full-size spare wheel, and racing Sabelt five-point seat belts. There is a carbon rear tub that houses the style seats.
Under the Safarista‘s special hood are an advanced cooling system, K&N filtering, racing-grade differentials, and an inline gearbox, and an improved Autotecnica tuned engine. Of course, it doesn’t surprise us that it includes motorsport brakes, a race-specific fuel tank, a hydraulic handbrake, and a fully adjustable suspension setup.
Automobili Amos, which says that it will produce a maximum of 10 examples of the Lancia Delta Integrale 16V Safarista, has set the price tag for the Safarista as €570,000 (~$641,700). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2023 or 2024. If you want more information, you can click here.
