AeroDelft Project Phoenix Hydrogen-Powered Aircraft

The world’s first hydrogen-powered airplane is almost ready to fly. The Phoenix project was developed by a team of students in the Netherlands and is powered by liquid hydrogen fuel cells, which enables it to provide three times the energy of fossil fuels and is free of greenhouse gases. The drone weighs 113 pounds, has a range of 311 miles, and a flight time of up to 7 hours. They have also been studying a two-passenger plane, which is scheduled to fly for the first time in 2022.
