Mercedes‘ street-ready F1 car has finally appeared in its final production form. The long-awaited Mercedes AMG One has successfully completed the development process with all the technology and experience gained from F1. A hybrid 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine producing 1,063 horsepower, drivetrain, all-wheel drive, and the most advanced active aero system ever seen are integrated into the car designed for street use for the first time.
Despite its electronically limited maximum speed of 280 mph (350 kph), it can complete 0-60 acceleration in 2.9 seconds. The electrically powered front axle and automated seven-speed manual transmission help achieve these figures, while the multi-link, pushrod-operated suspension anchors this beast, dubbed the Mercedes AMG One, firmly to the road.
While the power and handling are unrivaled, the efficiency of the ONE is equally impressive. An EQ Power+ hybrid drive system allows for multiple driving modes, from purely electric to highly dynamic, and the regenerative brake system recoups up to 80% of braking energy. The end result is optimum output and efficiency.
Don’t let its looks fool you. This car is truly made to be driven on the streets. Click here for more information on this supercar, which also offers full comfort package options such as air conditioning, an infotainment system, and a special rear display.
