As the team behind Subaru’s legendary Impreza rally car driven by Cuba McRae and Richard Burns, Prodrive became famous in motorsports. Since 2008, Prodrive has been responsible for Aston Martin‘s factory endurance cars and Volkswagen‘s rally racing. Now, Prodrive is participating in the Dakar Rally with the Bahrain Raid Xtreme and its BRX T1, designed by the legendary Ian Callum and driven by Sebastien Loeb. The vehicle is equipped with a 3.5-liter Ford twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 516 lb-ft. It is tied to the chassis and can drive 3,100 miles of cruel terrain in the Saudi Arabian desert. The BRX T1 will debut at the scheduled starting point of the rally in January 2021.
