As early as 2018, Nissan called on Studio Hardie, an environmentally friendly design company in the UK, to help transform its e-NV200 electric truck into a fully equipped mobile office equipment called “WORKSPACe”. Today, the Japanese manufacturer has returned to its 2018 concept, built the latest rolling office around the sixth-generation NV350 caravan, and assigned a series of advanced features and amenities to the prototype.
The van is named after the “NV350 caravan office pod concept”. Its side has a unique texture and can be ridden on Gram Lights off-road wheels wrapped in BFG all-terrain tires. Inside, there is a dedicated work area with a desk, on-board mobile WiFi hotspot, electric sunshade, coffee maker, and Herman Miller Cosm office chair. The concept work pod controlled by a smartphone app is decorated with LED edge lighting, which can slide out from the back door to provide a panoramic view of the concept, while its transparent polycarbonate floor allows you to see where the truck is parked below. Other notable details include the roof deck, which is equipped with retractable umbrellas, lounge chairs, and ladders, Cellstar sine wave DC/AC inverters, and a glove box equipped with antibacterial UV lights to disinfect its contents.
