Floating Farmhouse

The result of a self-taught architectural designer Tom Givone‘s loving work, this Floating Farmhouse is a far cry from the neon blue Catskill farmhouse it once was. This wonderful home integrates the annex into itself with the same siding and roof but lets it stand out with nearly 7-foot-high glass, reclaimed beams, and a cast-concrete wood oven that is part of a weathered Cor-Ten fireplace stack. Recycled materials are used almost throughout the house, including the bathrooms, master bedroom, and covered side porch positioned on the nearby creek. The fact that the porch was built over the nearby river gave rise to the name of the house.
