2022 Ducati Electric Road Bike Futa

A few years ago, Ducati Motor Holding teamed up with another Italian company, THOK E-Bikes, to develop the renowned motorcycle brand’s first electric mountain bike: MIG-RR. Since then, the company has expanded its range of THOK-assisted electric bikes to include trekking, mountain bike, and enduro models, and launched its first pedal-assisted road bike, now known as the Ducati Futa.

The Futa weighs just 27.3lbs (12.38 kg) and features a unidirectional carbon fiber monocoque frame paired with Vision AGX30 wheels with carbon fiber rims, Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR tires, 160mm disk brakes from FSA, Trimax carbon aero handlebars, and internally routed cables. The Ducati Futa, which also includes a carbon crankset with carbon pedal arms and an FSA K-Force WE groupset backed by a 2×12-speed wireless electronic shifter, is mounted on the rear hub, weighs about 8.8lbs (4 kg), puts out 250 watts and 31ft-lbs (42 Nm) of torque, and lowers the bottom end of the bike. It is powered by an FSA System HM 1.0 motor, which is fed by a 250 Wh FSA battery integrated into the tube. The Futa not only connects to a dedicated smartphone app but also features a handlebar-mounted Garmin controller that allows the rider to choose between the model’s five levels of assistance and access data such as system status and remaining battery life.

In addition to a new line of cycling apparel and accessories, Ducati will also produce Futa Limited Edition models, which are limited to 50 units, have an exclusive look, and feature upgraded components such as the Campagnolo Super Record disk. Components such as brakes, Vision Metron 40 SL wheels with carbon rims and handlebars, Garmin Edge Explorer GPS bike computer integrated into the handlebars, and a 250 Wh battery with range extender are standard.

In addition, the Italian brand has unveiled an updated version of its all-mountain MIG -S electric MTB and an ultra-high-end limited edition version of the TK -01RR enduro bike.
