Auto Fabrica has once again proved its exceptional creativity with its latest project, the Type 17. This custom build is based on a 2009 BMW G450X motorcycle and features a striking design that sets it apart from the rest.
The Auto Fabrica brothers were given full creative control by the client, and they decided to keep some of the original equipment, including the brakes, front suspension, and laced wheels. They then focused on the bodywork, creating an enduro-themed build with a custom aluminum body that includes beefy side panels, an angular tail section, and a custom seat cover. The upper fairing houses an LED headlamp and discreet turn signals, while the cockpit flaunts a stainless-steel handlebar.
One of the highlights of Type 17 is the Dakar-inspired yellow and white colorway with bold graphics that give it a unique character. The build is an exercise in automotive design, and the brief from the client was to create something unique and thought-provoking.
Type 17 also features a de-lugged frame, switchable engine map, custom front headlights with a custom rear integrated tail light, hand-bent steel exhaust, and an Ohlins rear shock for suspension. The final result is a stunning motorcycle that showcases Auto Fabrica‘s commitment to innovative and personalized builds.
This project also marks the first time Auto Fabrica executed its seat cover concept, which adds an interior/exterior dimension to the bike. Type 17 is a one-of-a-kind build, and the team is already working on continuing this ideation onto an electric enduro concept.
Overall, the Auto Fabrica BMW G450X Type 17 is a unique and creative approach to motorcycle design that sets a new standard for personalized builds. It’s a testament to Auto Fabrica‘s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive design and creating thought-provoking builds. Click here for more details.
