The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander made its world premiere at the Chicago Auto Show, showcasing the latest addition to the automaker’s SUV lineup. The Toyota Grand Highlander is designed to prioritize interior comfort in all three rows and is available in three powertrains across three grades: a 2.4L turbo gas engine, a 2.5L hybrid with a manufacturer-estimated 34 combined MPG, and the 362 horsepower Hybrid MAX.
As part of Toyota‘s approach to carbon neutrality, the Grand Highlander Hybrid and Hybrid MAX vehicles are part of a lineup that is moving “beyond zero.” With ten hybrids, two plug-in hybrids, the new bZ4X battery electric vehicle, and the zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell technology of the Mirai, Toyota is committed to finding highly efficient and zero-emission solutions that fit customers’ lifestyles across the US. The 2024 Grand Highlander will be the second Toyota vehicle to wear the new “Beyond Zero” badge, after the all-new Prius.
Built on the TNGA-K platform, the Toyota Grand Highlander offers ample cargo space and is fully functional for the road ahead, with controls centered around the standard 12.3-inch multimedia display and various storage areas throughout the cabin. The Toyota Grand Highlander is equipped with 13 cup holders and seven USB-C charge ports, and other available conveniences include a heated steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, heated and ventilated front, and second-row seats, and a hands-free power back door.
All three powertrain options come with three Drive Modes (Sport, Eco, Normal) and Multi-Terrain Select with Three Modes (Mud & Sand, Rock & Dirt, Snow) for on and off-road capability. The Hybrid MAX powertrain makes the Grand Highlander the most powerful mid-size SUV Toyota has ever built, offering impressive performance and efficiency.
Designed by Calty Design Studios and manufactured in Princeton, Indiana, the price and on-sale date of the 2024 Grand Highlander will be announced later this summer. The Toyota Grand Highlander is poised to become the ultimate option for families seeking comfort, versatility, and electrification in a mid-size SUV. Click here for more details.
