Smarts are known for their compact city suitability, not their off-road capabilities. As it turns out, that description didn’t stop Gotham Garage from giving the 2012 Smart Fortwo a Safari-style makeover.
This is probably the most beautiful car we’ve ever seen in Cars & Bids. We’ve seen some wild off-road equipped structures galore but this is something else. The Smart Fortwo, was originally designed as a city driving car and transformed into a capable off-road vehicle! It still runs on a 3-cylinder engine that produces 70 horsepower, but other than that, everything else evokes a tiny beast. An outer roll cage, oversized BFGoodrich tires, wide track suspension with an 8-inch lift, and a front winch are just some of the great modifications on display here. This vehicle, which was also featured on Netflix‘s “Car Masters: Rust to Riches”, is currently up for auction on the Cars & Bids site.
