Jeep is undeniably a company that builds some of the most off-road capable vehicles available. The looks of the models in the brand’s assortment are designed to pay homage to the original Jeep CJ-2A from 1945. This caught the attention of German product design engineer, Aitor Amigo López of Amigo Design, and he wanted to take a look at the situation. Dreaming of a futuristic Jeep model with a contemporary and cutting-edge visual theme as well as its performance capabilities, López came up with what he calls the “Jeep Pickup Concept” at the end of his work.
Particularly inspired by Ultra4 racers, the Jeep Pickup Concept features a wheelset covered with beefy Bridgestone Potenza off-road tires. Continuing with an ultra-modern take on Jeep‘s iconic seven-slot grille design, the design features a solid and fully reinforced chassis, as well as a pair of open pillars that close both sides of the truck bed.
Interestingly, the fact that we can’t see the tailpipe and the rear-mounted thing resembles an electric motor seems to indicate that there are electric versions of the concept as well. Other notable additions to the fairing include a tough, lifted, all-terrain suspension package, disc brakes, origami-like doors, exposed carbon fiber wheel arches and undercarriage, Cyberpunk-style LED strip headlights, and taillights.
With this stunning Jeep Pickup Concept design in mind, we’re quickly adding Aitor Amigo López to our favorite concept artists. Based on the skill and creativity he has displayed in his other works, we must say that we are extremely excited to see the talented designer’s next move. Click here if you want more information.
