Satisfying both cyclists and commuters, Brompton is a London-based brand that has been trying to make transportation easier for more than 40 years. In this regard, their newly introduced foldable T-Line made of titanium is truly beyond “impressive”.
This new folding bike has been completely redesigned front to back, with over 150 weight-saving and specially designed components. The first of its kind, the T-Line can be called the lightest bike, as it manages to shed 37% of the weight of standard steel bikes thanks to its titanium frame. As durable as the other bikes in their catalog, the T-Line looks like carbon road bikes and weighs just 16.4 pounds (7.45kg). With the help of a first-of-its-kind steel armored carbon seat post, its robustness is taken one level higher.
Building on “three years of limitless thought and ideas”, Brompton‘s creation of this innovative bike using a different process that the brand had never considered before is clearly one of Brompton‘s most notable moves to date. The T-Line has a 60-gram derailleur and a compact drivetrain for urban performance. It will be offered in two formats, the “Urban” using the brand’s new 4-speed system, and the single-speed “One“.
