The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be reborn as a full-size three-row SUV in the classic “Grand Wagoneer” mold. Like the Grand Tourer, the new Grand Cherokee focuses on luxury while maintaining the off-road performance that the Jeep is known for, and offers a series of engine options and two-wheel all-wheel drive system. The previous generation of V6 and Hemi V8 engines will continue to use eight-speed and ten-speed automatic transmissions. All three all-wheel drive systems can electronically lock the middle and rear differentials. The new air suspension can raise or lower the body in the range of less than one inch to 2.5 inches. The biggest attraction is the appearance, with its bold, upright appearance borrowed from the original Grand Wagner and Grand Cherokee models of the past. The interior is a more high-end interior, using higher quality materials, but also with a new center console and 8.4-inch touch screen.
