2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

Since 2009, Lamborghini‘s Squadra Corse has been organizing the Super Trofeo series, a one-model championship event with six rounds in four classes. With a different series taking place every year in America, Asia, and Europe, it’s one of the best opportunities to see what Lambo‘s supercars can do when the rules of the road no longer apply.

With the announcement of Huracán STO, the famous Italian brand carries its vehicle, which is descended from the racer lineage to the street. Despite being powered by the same 5.2L V10 as the Huracan EVO, Huracán STO is much more of a derivative. For those who don’t know, it stands out at 43kg (95lb) more than the already fairly light Performante model, a weight loss thanks to the use of carbon fiber on more than 75% of its bodywork. What’s more, an aerodynamic refurbishment has been made with a single component consisting of bonnet, fenders, and bumper, as well as a new rear wing and adjustable spoiler. The result is a car 37% more efficient in the wind with 53% more downforce. In practice, this means that the Huracán STO will do 0-62mph (about 100km / h) in 3.0s and 0-124mph (about 200km / h) in 9.0s, with a top speed of 192mph (about 310km / h). It will be available in the spring of 2021 at $ 327,838.
